The great potty debate is everywhere.
I have a solution that many places already have implemented. It’s called the family restroom.
The transgender community, as well as the rest of us, all have rights, and when you gotta go, you gotta go.
I get how some are concerned about men in the restroom with young girls. I confess I’m not crazy about the thought myself, as it seems to give permission for any man to claim he is transgender in order to enter a women’s restroom. Yet, if someone is going to attack you in the bathroom, a sign on the door is not going to stop them.
However, I’m not going to make a blanket assumption about a whole group of people. I don’t pretend to understand what a transgender person goes through, yet we seem to neglect to think the transgender person may be uncomfortable as well. They could just as easily be attacked in the bathroom by someone who just simply wants beat them.
So I say, the most common sense thing is for everyone to have a choice. I guess common sense isn’t so common sometimes.
